¡¡¡¡Feeding habits: depending on its flexible flying, catch flying insects during flying.

¡¡¡¡Size: with a full body length of 17 cm; weight: 15-18 g. 
¡¡¡¡Habits: Barn swallows are summer migrant birds in most places of China and winter migrant or resident birds in Yunnan and Hainan Island of China. They often fly over fields, water surface and towns to catch flying insects. Their flying gestures are both beautiful and smart. Swallows like to stay on wires. They build their half-bowl-like nests on human buildings during their production period. They produce 3-5 eggs each time and they produce twice a year. Swallows mainly catch flying insects harmful to crops and one swallow family can eat millions of insects within one single year. Another kind of swallow, which is similar with barn swallow, is the golden waist swallow. Golden waist swallows have fine stripes in their bellies and build their nests into a half curdle. After production, swallows like to act in groups. Mighty scenes will appear in Mojiang Yuanjiang of Yunnan and Yuanmou of Zhejiang each year, where thousands of swallows will stay on the wires to spend their nights.
